A few months back, we explored the newly opened MR. DIY store at VR Punjab Mall, Mohali, and walked away with mixed feelings. It wasnโ€™t quite the “DIY store” we had expectedโ€” it was more lifestyle and less tool-centric.

Recently, we had the chance to visit a much larger MR. DIY store in ๐—ž๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐—ฟ, ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฎ (๐—ต๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐— ๐—ฟ. ๐——๐—œ๐—ฌ)โ€”and the difference was striking.

MR. DIY Malaysia felt like a store designed for serious DIYers and everyday shoppers. Compared to the Indian version, this was retail on a different scale, with greater product depth, smarter zoning, and a more compelling in-store journey.
